Please join us for our April 28 luncheon where we will honor Missouri Senator Roy Blunt for his many years of service and support to Missouri and Missouri agriculture.
This luncheon is the annual Mizzou Showcase where the Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City and the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri partner on a program to highlight developments there.
This year, CAFNR Dean Chris Daubert says, “We look forward to honoring our long-time friend and advocate Senator Roy Blunt for his support of agricultural research.” Senator Blunt has announced his retirement at the conclusion of his current term in the United States Senate which marks his 38th year of public service to the citizens of Missouri.
“We have all benefited from Senator Blunt’s leadership,” said Council Executive Director Bob Petersen. “We respect his service and commitment to the citizens of Missouri,” Petersen continued.
Senator Blunt serves as the Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee and as the Ranking Member of the Senate Rules Committee. He also serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee; the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee; and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. He is also the Ranking Member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education.
Dean Daubert said we look forward to the Senator’s comments and his vision of the future of agricultural research.
