The Communications Director leads all Kansas Soybean Association (KSA) and Kansas Soybean Commission (KSC) communications programs and provides strategic direction to the CEO, program staff, and farmer leaders on key messaging issues. The Director manages the Kansas Soybean brand and is the primary avenue for sharing soybean checkoff success back to the farmers of Kansas and Association membership return on investment.
The International Trade Director leads Kansas’ international agriculture marketing strategy, working closely with industry leaders, commodity groups, and partner organizations to drive trade initiatives and expand global market opportunities. This position is responsible for managing existing export relationships and identifying and developing new international markets for Kansas agricultural products.
Lead international trade development for Kansas agriculture and implement the Kansas Agriculture Growth Strategy.
Represent Kansas in key national and international trade organizations.
Organize trade missions to promote Kansas agricultural exports while building global partnerships and showcasing Kansas agriculture.
Provide market analysis and training to help Kansas producers access and grow in international markets.
Manage international marketing expenses, ensuring compliance with program reporting requirements.

This position will assist in the planning, management, and support of 4-H Youth Development programs in assigned geographic area, under the guidance and supervision of the 4-H Youth Development Specialist/Educator.

K-State Research and Extension is seeking applications for an Extension Assistant/Associate Professor (Extension Consumer Safety Specialist). The position is a two-state (Kansas State University and the University of Missouri) joint appointment. Kansas State University and the University of Missouri are land grant universities with a three-part mission of education, research, and extension. The position will be based at Kansas State University-Olathe campus, a graduate campus focused on animal health and food safety and security in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Helps create, communicate and implement the business strategy for North America ensure the efficient delivery against its objectives and the four value drivers
Coordinates with management and direct reports to establish a budget, tactics against goals, performance assessment against goals and budget
Establishes the direction for the North American Leadership Team
Sets the tone with such team during the hiring, recruitment, and negotiation of new employees
Establishes competitive employment practices consistently across all business units, including cash and perquisite compensation; goals and sound performance feedback capabilities; career development opportunities; training, that will result in high employee satisfaction levels and ultimately, the motivation of staff
Works with Heads Of US & Canada to ensure profitable growth, risk management and capital efficiency of the business
Manages the Leadership Team to ensure proper execution of five year strategy and Medium Term Plan
Establishes a Risk Culture consistent with the expectations of the client and its regulators including collaboration with Risk to set the risk appetite for the business that reflects business strategy and the current economic environment as well as the bank’s global risk appetite
Ensures that the appropriate policies and procedures are in place to ensure a controlled environment, including the use of internal and external audits to identify possible exposures, instituting routine operational risk assessments
Must be familiar with and comply with laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures that are applicable to required job duties, in particular BSA/AML
Works effectively with regional and global counterparts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 15 years of proven experience
Experience in agricultural lending (in US and/or Canada)
Managing or managed a senior leadership team
Streamlining processes and increasing profitability of an established enterprise
Successful record of developing and implementing profitable business opportunities
Leading cultural change and responding to defined business strategy
Creating an environment around capital efficiency and portfolio optimization
Credit and Risk Management experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; Master’s Degree preferred
Ability to travel regionally and on occasion, globally. Travel is 50%+
The Director of Marketing & Commodities serves as a vital connector between Missouri Farm Bureau and the state’s agricultural producers. They lead strategic initiatives to support commodity groups, enhance farm income, and represent member interests in both market and policy arenas.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and coordinate the work of commodity advisory committees and special interest groups across a wide range of sectors
Build and maintain strong relationships with commodity organizations, checkoff councils, and the agribusiness community
Plan and manage Missouri Farm Bureau’s annual Commodity Conference and Agritourism Conference
Provide members with relevant and timely market information to improve understanding and profitability
Develop international contacts to explore foreign market opportunities for Missouri producers
Represent Missouri Farm Bureau policy positions at state and federal levels, including testimony, media responses, and legislative communication
Collaborate with public affairs staff to deliver content for magazines, podcasts, social media, and newsletters
Support legislative and regulatory efforts through policy development and stakeholder engagement
Advise FARM-PAC trustees and coordinate with the legislative team on related functions
Respond to member inquiries and support member engagement efforts across the state
