November Breakfast Meeting

The Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City is pleased to again be holding the November monthly meeting in conjunction with the Agriculture Future of America's annual Leaders Conference at the Sheraton Crown Center. Join AFA Board members for breakfast featuring Corey Flournoy, cofounder and Principal of Creative Outreach Consulting.

Corey is a recognized leader in DEI programming with more than 30 years of experience in strategy development, executive coaching, and employee engagement. He has worked with multinational corporations, non-profits, and educational institutions. In January 2021, Corey accepted the newly created role of VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Aurora, the company delivering the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly. Corey was also Groupon’s first Global Head of Inclusion and Diversity, and is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University, teaching a graduate-level course on leading global change.

A Chicago native, Corey earned his undergraduate degree at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his Master’s degree in Agricultural and Extension Education at Michigan State University. While in school, Corey was elected president of the 450,000-member National Future Farmers of America, becoming the first African-American person to hold the position in the history of the organization.
