Join us for the Council’s March Luncheon Meeting at Grand Street Café. We are pleased to welcome Jim Macy, Regional Administrator for EPA Region 7, which serves Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and nine tribal nations.

With nearly 40 years of leadership in environmental and energy policy across the Heartland, Jim Macy brings a deep commitment to strengthening environmental resilience and public service. Before joining the EPA, Macy served as director of the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy, where he led the successful integration of the state’s environmental and energy agencies. He previously spent nearly three decades with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in several senior roles, including regional director and director of the Financial Assistance Center.

Nationally, Macy has been recognized for advancing collaborative governance and innovation in permitting, compliance, and environmental policy. His service includes leadership roles with the Environmental Council of the States and the E-Enterprise Leadership Council, where he championed customer-centric approaches and continuous improvement initiatives.

A Missouri native, Macy holds degrees from the University of Missouri–Columbia and is a recipient of the EPA National Notable Achievement Award.

This policy applies to all circumstances including illness. Registrations are transferable - please email to make arrangements for substitution in advance.
