General Richard Myers, the newly inaugurated president of Kansas State University, will be the featured speaker for the Council’s October 19 luncheon meeting. The luncheon will begin at the usual 11:30 a.m. start time, and will be held at K-State’s Olathe Campus, 22201 Innovation Drive (22201 College Blvd. for GPS users), Olathe, KS 66061.
The Council’s luncheon will take place during Kansas State’s Professional Development Conference, “Leading through Change,” and will be a joint luncheon with conference attendees. All AgBizKC members are welcome to register at a discounted rate for the conference, featuring Bruce Tulgan, one of the nation’s leaders in management training and generational diversity, discussing leading through workplace change.
General Myers has enjoyed a very distinguished career. A native of Kansas City and an alumnus of Kansas State University, General Myers is the 14th president of Kansas State University and a retired four-star general in the United States Air Force. He served as the 15th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 2001-2005. As Chairman, he was the highest ranking uniformed officer of the United States' military forces.
